We are Joel and Lori Barton. We manage a small herd of Fullblood, Pure Bred and Percentage Boer Goats outside Greenville, Texas.
We began raising goats in 2002 when we purchased 2 Spanish Goats to keep our Quarter Horse mare company. We soon became enamored with these strange animals and wanted to learn more.
We learned about the Boer breed and began purchasing and breeding them soon thereafter.
Since then, we have slowly been increasing the quality of our herd by selective breeding and purchasing animals that fit our ideal of what a meat goat should be.
We strive to raise animals that grow quickly, can kid and raise kids with little help and require little human help to thrive.
Our goats have been purchased to show, for breeding stock and for meat. We strive to meet the desires of the market without compromising the ideals of the original Boer Goat breeders; to produce MEAT goats.
Our breed lines include;Eggs-Ryals Magnum (EN), Tobias (EN), Kaptein (EN), Eggsfile (EN), Eggspense Account (EN), JLF Pillio (EN), Bingo (EN), Ryals Topbrass (EN), Dominator (EN), Top Gun 2 (EN), Sasquatch (EN), JRP Tuffy (EN) and many more.
We recently purchased 2 fullblood does from Mansfield Acres and 4 percentage does from Glen Allen. We are expecting some great kids out of these new does in the fall.
